FAQs

How many mobile phones can I trade in?
There is generally no limit to the number of mobile phones you can trade in with a mobile phone recycler.

Can I sell a mobile phone that is damaged or faulty?
Yes! Many mobile phone recyclers accept damaged or faulty mobile phones However, you may only find out what it is worth once it is received and tested by the recycler. They will then make you an offer which may vary from nothing to 90% of the full value. You can accept or decline this offer.

A mobile phone which has no value can still be recycled free of charge.

I am not sure what the model of my mobile phone is?
The model number may be visible on the front or back of the mobile phone. If it is not, take the back off and remove the battery, as it will normally be inside the phone as well.

Do I pay postage when I send my mobile phone?
Most mobile phone recyclers provide a freepost service for you to send in your mobile phone.

Recorded postage is often recommended to ensure successful delivery as mobile phone recyclers do not take responsibility for any loss or damage sustained in transit. You will have to pay any recorded delivery charges.

How do I get a freepost envelope?
Once you have chosen a recycler on flogafone.com, we will transfer you automatically to the recycler's site so you can set up an account with them. The recycler will send you the envelope and instructions on what to do next.

It may take up to 10 working days to receive your freepost envelope and instructions.

How do I receive my payment?
Payments are usually made by cheque, postal order, bank transfer, instant post office payment or vouchers. You select the payment option you prefer on the recycler's website.

All payments are sent to the address stored in your account. Payments can take between 48 hours to 14 days: flogafone.com helps you see who will pay you fastest!

Do I need to take addresses, photos and other information off my phone before I send it off?
You don't have to do this, but you will lose any data left on the phone after it has been sent to the recycler unless you back it up first. For help with how to back up information or transfer it to your new phone, consult your handset manual, or speak to your network operator or the handset manufacturer.

If you just want to delete existing data on your phone, the easiest way to wipe all data from your phone is to restore it to its factory settings. Look in your phone manual to find out how to do this. You can also use this data removal tool for your phone.
